Off and on over the last 15 years, Jennifer and Joe Baweja tossed around the idea of starting a government consulting business. Jennifer has nearly 20 years of government experience, with 10 of those as an independent contractor. Joe has over 30 years of contracting experience and three as a government employee. When Joe’s position was eliminated as part of a corporate downsizing in early 2025, the idea became a much more interesting opportunity. The challenges of starting a new venture are numerous, including a name that allows the company to stand out in a crowded world.
One might ask how hard can it be to come up with a name, until you start brainstorming and surfing the internet to see if those names are already being used. And then when you want the name to have a personal meaning, the challenge becomes even greater. So how did we select Four Leaf Digital Solutions? The roots of the name trace back to Jennifer’s maternal grandmother, Mary Maude Williamson (better known as Granny). When Granny’s favorite sports teams were playing or her favorite NASCAR driver was racing, she would scour the yard for four leaf clovers. Over the years she found more four leaf clovers than you could count and stashed them in an old dictionary for safe keeping; uncommon tokens representing her hope for a winning outcome. Granny’s four leaf clovers led to our name.
At Four Leaf Digital Solutions, our intentions are to be as committed to our clients and their needs (and as bold and spirited in that pursuit) as Granny was to supporting her favorite teams.
Jennifer proudly carries on Granny’s four leaf clover legacy. For the last 20 years you could/can still find her squatted down at baseball parks across the southeast searching for a little extra luck for our sons. And Joe, he waits for her to throw her hands in the air and shout, “Found one!”, and we know Granny is smiling.
